We believe every plush toy deserves more than just soft stuffing and cute stitching—they deserve a personality. That’s why each of our plush characters comes with a unique backstory, filled with personality, quirks, and charm in a printed booklet included with every FunStuf Friend (Plush Toy).
These stories spark imagination, encourage empathy, and turn an ordinary cuddle buddy into a lifelong friend with dreams, adventures, and a favourite snack (spoiler: it’s usually something silly like marshmallow for campfire pizzas). Whether it’s a lion who dreams of being a good game player or a shy yet brave cat on a quest to find the perfect hug, our backstories bring our toys to life—and give children a deeper connection to their plush pal. Because at FunStuf, it’s not just a plush toy—it’s a tale waiting to be told.

Each Adventure Kit includes items inspired by your plush’s unique personality—like Honey’s superhero cape, Sweet Pea’s cooking apron, or Bagus the Cat's satchel. Together, they spark creative play, storytelling, and hours of friendship-filled fun!
Please note: The Funstuf Friend (Plush Toy) and Adventure Kit are sold separately. This lets you collect, mix, and match your favourite plush and kits to create your own world of FunStuf adventures! Because at FunStuf Creations, we believe the best stories are the ones you make together.
I have been sewing my whole life. Sewing is my joy. I made my first doll when I was 10 years old. I was lucky enough to live around the world, and I would always sew.
When my daughter started Irish dancing in 1989, I started a 36-year career of making and altering Irish dance dresses, which I still do today. I have made toys, jackets, wedding dresses, grad dresses, soft furnishings, endless original costumes and more, but I have always had a passion for making dolls.
My new FunStuf Friends Plush Toys have been a joy to design, discover and create. The fun of making them mostly from previously loved fabric, from unused yardage and remainders. This makes me feel good about saving it from the landfill. It also creates great originality!

I’m starting my own adventure in creating FunStuf with my family. This is our very first year launching FunStuf Creations, and we’re excited to be diving into the world of handmade toys and character-rich plush friends!
We’re currently working hard behind the scenes—designing our unique toys, stitching up a growing collection of soft companions, and building our online presence through a new website and social media channels.
While we’re just starting out, we’re committed to creating high-quality, joy-filled items that spark connection and imagination.
We believe that crafting is more than just a business or a hobby, it's a way to connect with others and build community. We love this opportunity to be part of the local Calgary and area arts and craft markets and share our creations with the community - because as we like to say at FunStuf: "ADVENTURES ARE CALLING … "
